The concept of terrorism has been a long contested topic within academia. As the Sicari’s or the Assassins of Hassan Sabbah have demonstrated, the act of terrorism is not a new phonemona, but one that is very old. Throughout history, many groups have emerged to utilize attacks for ideological means in order to gain a concession from the ‘enemy’. With this in context, terrorism studies has emerged to research, analyze and provide innovation into understanding these groups, their ideologies and motives, recruitment strategies and attack typologies.

This website will serve to collect my work upon terrorism studies and contemporary issues of terrorism. My work specializes on third-wave and fourth-wave terrorism movements, primarily the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).  Feel free to browse my work from the side panel, and shoot me an email if you’d like to ask any questions!
